Jason Hall – Principal

Jason was admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland in 2000, after having previously been admitted in New South Wales, and to the High Court of Australia. He has been a proud local Gold Coaster for over ten years, after relocating from Country New South Wales.

Jason’s career background entails appointments in local firms, as well as in-house roles for Bartercard, AAPT and Eagle Boys. In 2005 he became prominent in the legal industry as a capacious force, representing a class action against the developers of the Q1 residential tower in Surfers Paradise.

In 2006, Jason opened his own practice, J Hall Lawyers, in Short Street. The firm quickly grew and in 2008 J Hall Lawyers was re-branded as JHL Lawyers and opened at the current premises in Southport Central.

In his spare time, Jason excels at jet skiing, and is a Gold Coast Titans Palladium Club Member. His passion however, after his wife and four children, is Ducati motorcycles, and following Casey Stoner’s rise to fame.

Mary Jeffries – Special Counsel

Mary commenced practice with the firm in November 2006, after working for several years at another local firm. Mary’s main areas of focus are commercial law and commercial litigation. Mary has experience advising clients across a broad spectrum of matters.

Mary has served on the Gold Coast District Law Association since 2006, and has held the position of treasurer since 2009.

In her spare time Mary enjoys jet skiing and entertaining friends.
